Chia seed pots - a great on-the-go breakfast or pudding

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so this is not a blog post lecturing about this. But even though we all know that, some of us don't manage it in the morning thanks to our on the go lifestyle.

Trying to eat healthy on the go (especially breakfast) is always hard, but these chia seed pots are perfect!!!

chia seed pots

The great thing about these is that you can make them up the night before, pop them in the fridge and grab then and go in the morning. I even managed to eat one of these on a bus. No problem! Although I try my best to not eat at the desk, this is also perfect when you have too!

A completely fuss-free but 100% healthy breakfast on the go...

tasty and nutritious

All you need to do is pop two table spoons of whole chia seeds into an old clean jar, add 250ml of soya or almond milk and shake shake shake (pop the lid on first though).

You can experiment with flavours and fruits with these chia seed pots - so far my fav is cinnamon and banana.

I often add a heaped table spoon of raw oats to the mix for added slow releasing carbs and thickness, or protein powder for a boost of protein.

simple ingredients, totally tasty

Why are chia seeds hot on the health list right now?

Chia seeds come from a flowering plant in the mint family that's native to Mexico and Guatemala.

The little seed contains calcium, manganese, phosphorus and antioxidants and are a great source of healthy omega-3 fats. They are also full of protein and fibre. 2 table spoons boasts 11g of fibre and 4g of protein!

Go on, give it a try!
