Customised shoes - red strappy heels with a touch of fluff

Last week me and a few friends had a "crafternoon"... an afternoon of making and creating, cutting and  sticking and generally making a mess with glitter all in the name of getting arty.

Fuelled with a shit load of tea, we set to work.

ta-dah

I had been meaning to customise my battered red strappy heels now for some time. I don't know if you have noted but fluff is all the rage at the moment, even on shoes - it is like we've stepped back in to the 90s (Cher from 'Clueless' would be proud) and I LOVE IT!

However, with shoes from the likes of River Island and ASOS clocking in at £40, I decided to be tight and make my own!

dirty and not in a good way

I bought these red strappy shoes from Primark ages ago but they are worn to death and the straps are looking pretty mucky now. They were heading in to the bin until I realised that these would be the perfect shoes to customise with some fluff!!!

totally OTT and adorable

You'll need less than half a meter of fluff, which usually sells for around 30p, so much better than s pair of new pre-made shoes from the shops!!!

All you need is a pair of shoes, a glue gun and some fluff...

Nude nails from "Jessica": review

As we transit from bright summery days, to well, I am not quite sure what the weather is doing right now, I have opted for a nude nail during the week, that way ensuring it always compliments my outfit... whatever the weather is doing and what I am wearing!

my perfect nude nail

I love fancy nail art (check out these funky bad boys from House of Holland that won loads of compliments on holiday) and bright colours but every now and again there is something refreshing about a nude nail.

goes with any outfit

It is a sophisticated, grown up, and simple look.

My favourite outfits of Spring/ Summer

I will be honest with you. I do love fashion, clothes, accessories, and most of all, shoes, but I have never been a slave to fashion. I love the new trends but would never wear the fashions that don’t suit me or quite frankly look ridiculous. So compared to the girls and blogggers you see on magazine, I guess I am not a "real" fashion lover or blogger.
I follow a lot of street style snappers and fashion accounts on my instagram and bloglovin but in all honesty, sometimes there are OTT for me – they are trying to hard sometimes to be “cool” in my opinion.
I am just jealous because I am not model size and can’t get away with wearing a red checked shirt over a khaki turtle neck jumper, teemed with a sequin skirt, chunky boots and a felt sloppy hat!!!!!  Whilst I get a few blobs of inspiration from these street style accounts, most of the time I am left confused as to why they think that this outfit looks good!

if I wore this, people would definitely
think I've gone a bit eccentric!

So here are my favourite outfits over the last couple of months for a bit of style inspo that is “wearable” and not OTT, nor cost a fortune or uncomfortable to wear....

light blue floral dress - primark,
dark blue floral courts - primark,
with a pop of bright pink - Mulberry clutch

navy sleeveless shirt - primark, white skirt - primark
brogues - new look, pearls - my grandmas

Vivienne Westwood Melissa pink bow slingback heels

At the weekend I attended the most beautiful wedding of my university friend Chez. I felt that this gorgeous country wedding required me to wear a fabulous pair of shoes. So I finally wore my Vivienne Westwood Melissa Slingbacks. I think these are possibly the most exciting shoes I have ever bought.

adore these shoes
