Brunch at Brickwood, Tooting Broadway London

After a particularly heavy birthday celebration one Saturday night courtesy of my friend Frenchy, we went to refresh ourselves with a brunch in Tooting Broadway Market.

I used to live in Tooting Bec a couple of years ago but it has developed since then, with cute cafes and brunch places popping up everywhere.

Our chosen venue was Brickwood, tucked in the corner of the market.

The atmosphere is relaxed and I really liked the openness of it, with its wooden tables and metal, it has quite an industrial feel.

The tempting menu was hard to chose from but I opted for the smashed avocado on soughdough toast with poached eggs and chorizo. And a side of potato hash nuggets for good measure! This certainly filled a hole and soaked up the g&t's from Saturday night!

Decent prices, incredibly friendly staff and tasty food, this is a good brunch hang out. As it is in a market, it was a little chilly as it is so open, but that just gives you a good excuse to have the delicious milo jaffa cake hot chocolate! Or the bloody Mary!

Brickwood can also be found in Clapham and Balham
